Vinoshipper Releases Study Dispelling Myth of Minor Access of Alcohol Through Direct Sales
Windsor, CA, February 20, 2023 —Online wine shipping e-commerce and compliance platform, Vinoshipper, has released a first-of-its-kind study to show that e-commerce platforms with age-verification software are 100 percent effective at stopping illegal sales of alcoholic beverages to minors. The study shows that direct-to-consumer sales are the safest way for alcohol to be sold and pre-purchase age verification software is a cost effective and reliable way to block and measure minors’ attempt to purchase alcohol online. It also demonstrates that minors are not attempting to use direct to consumer avenues in any significant number to secure alcohol. “Lately, there has been a lot of hype about minors gaining access to alcohol through direct-to-consumer sales.
