Harvest STOMP is an exciting harvest-season celebration that brings together growers, vintners, and community members who care deeply about Napa Valley’s agricultural future. From exceptional wines to spirited entertainment, the event marks the start of harvest while raising vital funds to support the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and their work cultivating viticultural excellence and environmental stewardship across the valley. As part of the evening, this year’s Fund-a-Need will directly benefit the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, the region’s only organization exclusively dedicated to advancing farmworkers and their families through education and professional development. This work strengthens long-term opportunity and stability, creating lasting impact across Napa Valley. More than a celebration, Harvest STOMP is a shared investment in Napa Valley’s future. Get ready to raise a glass, raise a paddle, and celebrate the people and stewardship behind Napa Valley

They are our operators, leaders, problem solvers, partners, and the crafters of our company culture. They oversee inventory with meticulous attention to detail. They guide clients through complex compliance requirements. They manage teams, strengthen vendor partnerships, support our financial integrity, and ensure that every shipment reflects the high standards we hold ourselves to. They do this not for recognition, but because excellence matters. At Copper Peak, partnership has always been at t

In this episode, George interviews Michael Haney, Executive Director of Sonoma County Vintners. They discuss Haney’s upbringing in Nashville, TN, how he first entered the wine industry almost 35 years ago by helping run Nashville’s Wine Auction, meeting his wife, Juliana Martinelli of Martinelli Winery, and eventually moving to Sonoma County. Around the same time, Haney began his career with the Sonoma County Vintners (SCV). They also dive into the work that SCV does, including their commitment to their members, their community involvement through the SCV Foundation, and their political advocacy for the wine industry. These days, Haney is going live on the SCV radio show Vine, Wine & Dine (https://vinewineanddine.blogspot.com), which airs every other Wednesday at The Matheson, and preparing for the Sonoma County Wine Celebration and Auction (https://winecelebration.sonomawine.com) on September 19-21.
