Expand Your Reach: Why On Demand Makers Should Consider Expanding into LibDib Markets
If you’re already selling through On Demand, you’ve taken an important first step toward modern distribution. Your products are already on the platform, your brand is discoverable via our partner wholesaler’s e-commerce site, and you’re part of a network designed to make wholesale more accessible. But some Makers stop there—and that can mean leaving opportunities on the table. As the beverage alcohol industry continues to shift, the most successful brands are the ones that expand their reach, increase visibility with buyers, and create multiple paths to market. You’re Already on the Platform—Take the Next Step One of the biggest advantages you already have is that your brand is already set up on the LibDib platform. That means expanding into additional markets is often much easier than you think. In many cases, it’s simply a matter of: Signing in to your LibDib account Reviewing the markets currently available (or click here) De

What Does the RNDC/Reyes Announcement Mean for LibDib?
Since the RNDC / Reyes announcement, I’ve received several messages asking the same question: What does this mean for LibDib? The short answer is this: LibDib was a distributor before we partnered with RNDC, and we continue to be a distributor going forward. RNDC exited California, but LibDib continues to operate in California and other markets. Our business does not hinge on one partner, one market, or one structure. From day one, our model was built to be flexible, compliant, and durable — allowing us to nimbly partner with 3PLs, all distributors, and other fulfillment solutions to ensure brands can get to market legally and efficiently. However. Will there be changes? Yes. Will there be shifts in how business is done? Absolutely. For anyone watching what’s happening in the middle tier right now — this is the new reality. Consolidation, portfolio reshuffling, exits, and strategic pivots are no longer edge cases. They are becoming the de facto operating en

Introducing RNDC On Demand (formerly LibDib@RNDC)
A quick update for our Makers, especially in Texas, Indiana, Louisiana, Georgia, Oklahoma and Kentucky: we have changed the name of LibDib@RNDC to RNDC On Demand. This rebranding has been a long time coming and will provide more opportunities for our Makers, especially on RNDC’s amazing ecommerce site, eRNDC.  Why the change? The reasons are outlined below. One of the great benefits of being a nimble start-up is the ability to see a challenge with an existing model, find a solution, and pivot.  Buyer Awareness: LibDib is only the technology provider for RNDC On Demand. so Having LibDib in the name  was causing confusion and Buyers were going to the LibDib platform g to sign up for the RNDC division and purchase those offerings. This makes it clear to Buyers who the distributor is in each transaction.  Maker Awareness: It is our goal to break down any confusion when it comes to distribution for our makers, especially those who are new to the business. We have a

12 Things Distributors Do for Their Supplier Partners (but Don’t Always Get Credit)
Wine and spirits distributors do not always get full credit for their myriad of services offered.  With portfolios bursting at the seams, their role in the 3-tier system is difficult. We at Andavi Solutions would like to recognize some of the critical functions distributors perform on behalf of their supplier partners.  1) Training and Education Distributor sales teams include some of the most highly trained professionals in the industry. The training opportunities distributors provide are not solely for internal stakeholders. They also play a critical role in the education and training of their supplier partners.  It is sad but true to say that many brand owners do not properly train their people, and by default, distributors end up picking up the slack. Another vital area of training distributors provide is forecasting and inventory management (more on this below).  Distributors do a lot of staff training (far more than most suppliers), and they don&rs

6 Essential Trends Shaping the Future of Wine and Spirits Sales in 2024
Shaping the future of wine and spirits sales The new year is fast approaching, and the speed of change in wine and spirits sales has never been more startling. Many wine and spirits companies are operating if little has changed, and unfortunately, this is causing a significant separation between those who keep pace and those who fall far behind.  So that you can stay ahead of the curve and on top of trends, we’ve assembled a list of what we see as the top six trends to know. 1. “Digital” 3-tier comes of age The neon “no vacancy” sign has been flashing for years regarding wineries and distilleries trying to wedge their way into distributor portfolios. Distributors large, medium, and small are all at total capacity. We constantly hear stories from suppliers being turned away.  To say that wholesalers have reached “maximum capacity” would be a colossal understatement. But the good news is that alternatives DO exist. Consider exploring t

2022 Wholesale Predictions
Happy 2022! As we roll into the new year, the LibDib team has begun to implement our latest plans which always includes a focus on the trends for the upcoming year. In the same tone as 2021, Tequila, RTD’s and Whiskey will continue to be the category winners. Champagne supplies will be short. These are the trends that everyone is talking about.  What else is the beverage alcohol industry, and more importantly wholesale distribution, going to see in 2022? Here are the LibDib predictions for 2022 challenges and opportunities. Supply Chain shortages will continue. The Challenge: This past OND, LibDib had a number of wine and spirits Makers with out of stocks. Unfortunately, no end is in sight. Bottles wouldn’t show up. Labels were three weeks late. Boxes. Corks. Foils. Everything was late. If you know anything about bottling as a small Maker, it’s very challenging if all the materials are not there on time. Labor is scheduled for the day. Sometimes there is a m

Launch a Barrel Program, Grow Your Revenue
How one Emerging Craft Spirits Company Found Huge Success on LibDib In March 2020 the world launched into a global pandemic. That same month, emerging craft spirits company, Phenomenal Spirits, entered the U.S. market with their small-production Ron Izalco Rum and RY3 Whiskey.  Over the past 15 months the spirits brand has found huge success, expanding distribution to 15 states and selling barrel after barrel of their small-batch products.  What’s been one key to their success? Working with LibDib. “LibDib can move at a rapid pace,” says Phenomenal Spirits founder Karthik Sudhir. “I’m here to tell craft brands that there’s a way to secure distribution with a limited budget and test out your brand positioning, pricing strategy, and marketing campaigns, as well as fine tune your strategy before pitching your brand to the big five distribution companies. LibDib gave us a platform and within a couple of weeks we la

For the past several years, there’s been a massive boom in the small-batch wine and spirits market. Younger generations of consumers have shown a preference for more authentic and personal brands, and the craft beer trend paved the way for exciting new liquor and wine brands to emerge. Consumers are looking for new and unique alcohol brands. And these consumer desires influence how shelf space is utilized, inevitably altering the purchasing decisions of wholesale buyers Small-batch wine and spirits producers have two distinct advantages within these target demographics: 1. They can capitalize on new trends. Note the hard seltzer frenzy. Demand for White Claw led other brands to rush their own unique version to market. Larger brands then produced their own spin on the alcoholic beverage trend and a year later we have a market full of hard seltzers. You can see this with bourbon, mezcal, and gin brands as well. 2. They can easily experiment. A small-batch Maker can easily take a “ris
