Imagine your VP of Sales announcing they’ve ditched CRM for a Rolodex. Or your finance director saying Excel is too modern, so they’re switching to chalkboard. Work closely with Hermit Woods’ vintner, Ken Hardcastle, during all stages of wine making. Hermit Woods is unique: unlike conventional wineries with a vineyard producing grapes seasonally, we craft wine year round, almost like a brewery or cidery, focusing on locally-sourced high quality ingredients of a wide variety. We produce about 5000 cases annually of wine, cider and mead. A typical week, any time of the year, will include tasks associated with fermentation, pressing, racking, filtering, and/or bottling. The candidate is ideally trained in, and has had hands-on experience with all the various aspects of wine making. Applicant must be willing to lift heavy things, operate complex equipment, manage complicated logistics and be diligent in sanitation.
