Winery health isn’t defined by one metric. It’s a reflection of how well a winery performs across three key dimensions: financial resilience, operational excellence, and cultural strength. Every year, InnoVint surveys hundreds of winery professionals to understand what truly drives a healthy winery. In the 2025 State of Winery Health Report, our statistical analysis confirmed that all three dimensions matter, but financial performance stands out as the clearest signal of overall business health. Profitability, sales growth, and pricing confidence consistently separate the strongest wineries from those struggling to keep pace. But the story doesn’t end there. Operational practices, technology adoption, and team culture all play vital roles in supporting long-term success. What Does “Winery Health” Mean in 2025? At its core, winery health represents a winery’s ability to stay profitable, efficient, and resilient — even as the industry faces

Tanks are critical production tools that must be handled safely. Pressure management is essential, especially for sparkling wine and other carbonated beverages, but even still wines benefit from properly designed and maintained tanks. Container Logic’s stainless steel tanks combine durability, precision, and safety features to protect both wine and the people working with it. Why Pressure Ratings Matter Every tank has a pressure limit, measured in bars. Selecting the right rating is vital: Still Wine: Even low-pressure environments can experience minor pressure buildup during fermentation. Using appropriately rated tanks prevents leaks, deformation, and safety hazards. Sparkling Wine & Carbonated Beverages: Secondary fermentation generates significant internal pressure. Tanks must safely handle this pressure to avoid blowouts, maintain product quality, and protect staff. Container Logic offers tanks rated from 1 bar to 7 bar, allowing wineries to choose the perfect ve

Buying used industrial equipment is common, and chillers are no exception. With potentially lower costs and faster availability, it can seem like a great deal. But is it the right move for your operation? Let’s walk through it together. The Refurbishment Process for Chillers Not all used industrial chillers are the same. Some are sold “as-is,” while others go through a refurbishment process. A properly refurbished chiller typically includes: A full inspection of key components (compressor, evaporator, condenser, controls) Replacement of worn parts (seals, gaskets, fans, etc.) Refrigerant recharge and leak testing Updated wiring and controls if needed Full performance test before shipping Here’s the difference: a used water chiller might have been sitting in a warehouse for years. A refurbished one has been cleaned, tested, and often upgraded by professionals – either from the original manufacturer or a qualified third party. Refurbishment isn’t a gu

Green Bell Pepper Characteristics (IBMP) IBMP (3-Isobutyl-2-methoxypyrazine) is the main compound responsible for the “green bell pepper” aroma in wine. In a white wine such as Sauvignon Blanc, the compound adds an often desired “grassy” character. In red wines however, this flavor is largely unpopular. Excessive IBMP levels in red wines, typically Cabernets or Cabernet-based blends, can lead to disappointing ratings and mixed success in the marketplace. The “green bell pepper” flavor in wine depends primarily on IBMP levels in harvested grapes. Once grapes have been picked, IBMP levels are not easily altered by standard winemaking processes. Testing and Application The intensity of “green bell pepper/grassy” characters in wines can be predicted by measuring IBMP in grapes right before harvest. Grape screening of IBMP helps identify “problem” vineyards or blocks. Since IBMP decreases during grape maturation,
