Air Quality Sensor: Clearly See When Conditions Are Healthy or Unhealthy for Crews
It has certainly been a tough few years dealing with the many wildfires in California. We are all hoping for clear skies in our future, but must be prepared and alerted to conditions that may impact our vineyards, our wines, and potentially our lives. Our partner, Ranch Systems, has released an easy-to-read air quality sensor to be mounted in your field. This real-time sensor allows us to monitor air quality for the safety of our crew and our fruit. This sensor records data in both PM2.5 and PM1.0 particulate matter sizes. The screenshot above depicts the color coded graph for PM2.5. This allows us to clearly see when conditions are healthy or unhealthy for crews to be working in.  The screenshot below is a smoke taint graph, showing data for PM1.0. This data shows how long fruit has been subjected to particulate matter that is known to be associated with smoke taint. Whether you are adding to your existing Ranch Systems network, or beginning anew, this is a helpful senso

This real-time sensor allows us to monitor air quality for the safety of our crew and our fruit. The graph is color coded to match the official EPA Air Quality Index. Whether you are adding to your existing Ranch Systems network, or beginning anew, this is a helpful sensor in today's climate. Call Paul at (707) 540-2704 or email at Paul@advancedvit.com for more info on this sensor or others that fit your growing needs.
