MARCH 1, 2022 – Winners have been announced in the first-ever Los Angeles Invitational Wine & Spirits Challenge. A Cabernet Sauvignon from Adobe Road Winery (www.adoberoadwines.com) and an XO Cognac from Sire Spirits (www.sirespirits.com) topped their fields to be named Best of the Best. The competition was established, in conjunction with Los Angeles-based beverage professionals (representing both the on- and off-premise channels), to highlight the best of the best wine and spirits producers in the world, and to introduce those producers to the largest market of consumers in the country. Judging took place February 20-22 and, says event producer Debra Del Fiorentino of Wine Competitions Management & Production (winecompetitions.com), “Typically, a strong first-year competition can expect about 500 entries. A Look into the Pairing of Quady Wines and GTREE™ Stock The old adage, “work smarter, not harder,” was the key motivator when Quady Winery contacted G3 Label Division. Quady Winery has developed a passionate following for its Electra family of wines made in the Moscato d’Asti style. The wines are lightly effervescent with a touch of sweetness and complex aromas of tropical fruit flavors. Quady’s wines are unique in that they are bottled at very cold temperatures in a wet bottling room. This process creates moisture issues as condensation builds under the label almost immediately after it is applied creating a challenge for the fast-growing winery. In the past, the condensation often meant peeling off labels that did not apply correctly to the bottle or waiting for the wine to reach room temperature to then re-apply the label.
