Economical, small footprint, floor level palletizer makes automation easy
For plants with either limited floor space or a small budget, this compact palletizer (Model72AN) offers a simple and economical solution to increase production and eliminate the cost andliability of manual operation. It occupies from 10 to 30% less floor space than conventional low level palletizers depending on the accessories required (transfer conveyor, pallet dispenser/transport) and offers complete flexibility for product feed and pallet configuration. All operation is automatic which eliminates the risk of employee injury and related costs from repetitive palletizing actions. No pallet dispenser is required for the Model 72AN. Up to 5 empty pallets can be stacked in the load area for palletizing and the layers of product are automatically directed to the top pallet level. Once the load is completed, the lift truck operator simply removes the top pallet and contents, and the palletizer continues to load the next pallet; once all pallets have been loaded and removed, the operator

Palletizer stacks products without cases for reduced corrugated consumption
Packagers looking to reduce their corrugated consumption now can automatically palletize small packages, and build end-aisle display pallets with the Model 72A palletizer from A-B-C. The palletizer has a custom infeed that orients, collates and feeds the product to the stainless steel staging table that ensures smooth product transfer. After the sweep-bar guides the layer to the pallet stack, each layer is tightened and squared by A-B-C’s exclusive four-side squaring device that ensures a secure, cohesive layer. In the past, these types of packages were palletized manually, because automatic solutions could not form the tight pallet loads that are required for pallet stability. While some robotic palletizers are utilized for palletizing small packages, the unique challenges of these products made it difficult to create tightly formed layers and pallets with robotic systems. A-B-C’s palletizing solution allows packagers to benefit from the speed and efficiency of automatic o

Maspack Packaging Delivers Safety, Cost Savings and Precision
2020 has been a year on pause for much of the wine industry, but now, 2021 is here, and there is light shining at the end of the tunnel. Vaccines are taking positive action against COVID-19. Online sales, virtual tastings, and periods of open tasting rooms have helped many wineries focusing on DTC sales, however, when Nielsen Data tracked wineries that leaned into the wholesale channel, they saw sales increase as much as 24% during the pandemic, leaving many in a stronger position than they had expected. If history is any indication, there are great opportunities when the economy re-opens after challenging times and many expect that to be exactly the case in 2021 for the wine industry. “Now is the time to invest, especially with the lowest interest rates available since the mid-2000s,” says Alberto Migliardi, CEO of Maspack Packaging USA. “Wineries tell us that they are ready to start loosening up the strings from the CapEx projects they put on hold back in March and
