The Juan Nevarez Memorial Scholarship, a program designed to support the children of California’s vineyard and winery workers in their pursuit of higher education, is now accepting applications for the upcoming academic year. Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors or students currently enrolled in junior college, four-year universities, or trade schools. Applicant or applicant’s parent/guardian must be employed or contracted by the California vineyard and winery industry. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic achievement, and a commitment to their community. Multi-year scholarship awards range from $1,000 to $6,000 per student per year. The number of scholarships awarded is based on fund availability. APPLY This scholarship does more than alleviate the financial burden of higher education.
