When wine enthusiasts visit a tasting room, they usually have a general knowledge of the winery’s reputation and its wine region. They’re looking forward to tasting and learning more about the wines and enjoying the culinary experience. They may research the area before traveling, follow the winery on social media, search Google, or reach out to friends and family for ideas on other things to do on their trip. Visitors often ask tasting room staff for recommendations on places to stay, the best restaurants for dining, and other wineries and attractions to visit. While the winery team is always happy to help, they’re often too busy to help with more than a few quick suggestions. Innovative mapping company HipMaps has a solution. I recently returned from a wonderful trip to beautiful Kentucky for the ADI Craft Spirits Conference and Expo in Louisville. Global Package had a booth there, which was the first time we’d exhibited in more than a year and a half. What a joy it was to get back to meeting old and new friends at this event! Kentucky is gorgeous this time of year (see photos): lush greenery, blue skies, historic buildings, and wonderful people. And there’s so much to see: The Kentucky Bourbon Trail, Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory, Churchill Downs/Kentucky Derby Museum, not to mention all the local distilleries and craft breweries. There are even many wineries! While we think of California when it comes to wine, Kentucky has a good selection of vineyards and wineries, too, including the popular Purple Toad Cedar Creek

2020 kicked off in an exciting manner for those of us at InnoVint. We are beyond thrilled to bring on new members to our team, which we will be introducing you to over the next few months. One of those people is our new Sales Manager, Kathy Turner. In her new role, Turner will be applying her extensive sales background to expand brand awareness for InnoVint and build new client relationships. “Kathy will be a great asset to our sales team as she has a deep passion to improve the lives of winemakers,” states Founder and CEO Ashley DuBois Leonard. “I look forward to Kathy demonstrating the value of InnoVint to many wineries around the nation.” Turner brings to her role a unique combination of hands-on winemaking (with over 10 harvests across California and abroad) and top-notch sales experience, gained from over 5 years working with winery clients on the Central and South Coast. “It’s rare that you get an opportunity to really make a significant impact
