The Archetype Advantage: Using Brand Archetypes to Build a Loyal Wine Club
The wineries with the most loyal wine clubs aren't the ones with the best discounts. They're the ones with the strongest emotional identity. This will sound counterintuitive to anyone who's ever tried to stem club churn by sweetening the deal with free shipping or an extra bottle. But the data tells a different story. Companies with strong emotional connections to customers outperform competitors' sales growth by 85%. Not 8.5%. Eighty-five percent. The question isn't whether emotional connection matters. It's how you build one. Enter brand archetypes: a framework rooted in Jungian psychology that helps wineries create the kind of deep, identity-based loyalty that discounts can never buy. When wineries align their story, experience, and messaging with a core archetype, wine club loyalty stops being a battle against churn and becomes a natural expression of who they are. What Are Brand Archetypes? (And Why They Work in the Wine Industry) Brand archetypes are 1

Don't Let Dirt Take Over!
Dirt, grease, grime – they’re sticky, smelly, even gross – and they have one job at your facility. To stay put and resist all attempts at cleaning. And you may be helping them to stay put! “Wait a sec!” you say. ‘We use pressure washers and floor scrubbers regularly.” Great! But if you don’t regularly maintain and service your equipment, performance can steadily decline over time – and cost you. The result? Sub-standard cleaning that you may not even realize is happening until the cracks ooze dirt and your shoes stick or slip to the floors. Are you OK with that? Today, companies are working hard to save money, and that includes seeking to extend equipment life. But there comes a point where your machines need help – and ignoring it can cost you. Here are 8 critical warning signs that your cleaning equipment is failing to evict the dirt. Pressure washers – Warning Signs Did you know? Regular maintenance sig

The Importance of a Clean Bottom
From the bottoms of pleasure boats to the undercarriages of trucks, tractors, trailers, cars and more, dirty bottoms are no laughing matter. Dirty bottoms are notorious for transporting social undesirables. These hitchhikers can include invasive species such as golden mussels and creepy crawlies, contagious bacteria and viruses (think e-coli and bird flu’), as well as soil and manure build up, and even corrosive road salt and brine. There’s a surprisingly simple solution to clean your bottom… Sneaky Hitchhikers: Bacteria and viruses can catch a ride on vehicles including boats. Just to name a few… E-coli can survive for months on surfaces. Some strains are able to produce toxins that can damage the digestive tract and lead to severe complications. Bird flu(avian influenza) has been found on both dairy and poultry farms and the virus can survive on surfaces for extended periods. It can travel via vehicles between farms. Salmonella can spread via vehicles, par

How to Use Your Chiller More Efficiently in 2025 + Chiller Efficiency Formula
Many manufacturing and processing companies rely on industrial chillers to provide cooling for everything from machinery to finished goods. However, these systems use a lot of electricity, accounting for a large portion of energy use. Finding ways to make chillers run more efficiently is more important than ever. Here are some tips for increasing water and air-cooled chiller efficiency in 2025. Why Optimal Chiller Efficiency Matters for Your Operations Improving chiller efficiency can save money on electricity and reduce energy waste, which in turn helps lower carbon emissions. Therefore, reducing the energy consumption of your industrial chiller benefits the environment by lowering greenhouse gas emissions and other pollutants. In addition, companies that can effectively use industrial chillers can gain a competitive advantage by reducing their production costs. This can ultimately help them become more profitable and sustainable in the long run. How to Calculate Chill

Planning on Automating Irrigation This Year?
Read this first! As agricultural consultants in California, irrigation consulting during the growing season is our bread and butter. A lot of times, especially in vineyards with lighter soils where I recommend short and frequent irrigations, I know my desired schedule amounts to a tall order. Not everyone can feasibly do two hours, three times a week. No matter what’s best for the vines, I have to work with a human irrigator, who is still going to turn the valve on at 5 pm and turn it off at 7 am the next day. In a lot of cases, this amounts to a vineyard that is both over- and under-watered: the 14-hour irrigation percolated past the rootzone in under 3 hours and the rest of the week (after the root zone water was depleted) the soil was dry as a bone. So, I’m happy to see so much interest these days in valve automation. I’m also apprehensive because I’ve automated valves and it’s not a silver bullet. It’s not any bullet. It’s a useful tool t
