Every winery hosts events. A release party, a tasting experience, a harvest dinner. They’re great for engagement, but not all events drive wine club growth. Then, there are signature events—the ones that members build their calendars around, the ones they wouldn’t dream of missing. One of our winery customers hosts an event so popular that thousands of wine club members travel from all over the country to attend. It’s not just another wine release party—it’s a destination experience. The result? A wine club that people don’t just join—they stay in, year after year, because they don’t want to miss out. Not every winery can host a festival-scale event, but the concept holds true at every level: a well-crafted, exclusive event can drive massive growth for your wine club. What Makes a Signature Event Different? Not all winery events move the needle on wine club growth. A signature event isn’t just another tasting or release party

As we begin our journey through the holiday season, OND for 2023 will be unpredictable, especially since we’re on the heels of the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ve put together these five accounting tips to help your OND be the most successful it can be. Develop an Organization Plan: During the stressful holiday season, there can be many demands on your time and bandwidth, and you might be wearing multiple hats. Regardless of how busy you are, devise a to-do list each day for your accounting needs. Breaking out each task you need to do into a simple list can make everything less overwhelming. Develop a plan with clear guidelines referencing when invoices are due, when a physical inventory count is required, and what accounting tasks you need to do each day. Keep up With Daily Accounting Tasks: It’s easy to assume that you’ll get caught up when the holidays are over. But if you wait to take care of essential accounting tasks, you’ll end up with a bigge

With both QB Desktop and QB Online there are a few automated things that can negatively impact your workflow. We’re going to go over key settings to adjust for QB Desktop which will result in fewer pop-ups and fewer interruptions. Spell Check: In practice, it’s nice to have, however, QuickBooks doesn’t recognize words like Gewurztraminer or Ehrenfelser, so spell check often just becomes an annoyance with many wine industry words. To turn it off, go to the Main Menu > Edit > Preferences > Spelling > My Preferences > uncheck the “always check spelling” checkbox. Reminders: Some reminders are unnecessary and can interrupt third-party integrations like Bill.com or WGits. To turn off some reminders, go to Edit > Preferences > Reminders > and then go through and switch off whichever ones you can. Usually, you can turn off most or all of these. Memorized Transactions: You may need memorized transactions to help you

One of the most stressful things in the Accounting world is taxes. Not only do you want to get it right, but you don't want to make a mess and get penalized. Here's some helpful information on easily recording your taxes in QuickBooks and lowering the stress each quarter or month. Get the Right Rate: QuickBooks is not equipped to support the wine industry, especially in the US. There are different tax rates across each county, and sometimes even within a county, specific tax differences are based on zip code. QuickBooks simply cannot handle it. If you're using ShipCompliant or Avalara, that can help your monthly or quarterly tax remittance. But what about recording all of that in QuickBooks? Do you set up hundreds or thousands of different Sales Tax Items, all named based on the city or county you ship to? Is there an easier way? Taxes Don't Have to be Taxing! With WGits, your process can be greatly simplified. When WGits sends orders into QB, we au

In the world of winemaking, innovation is key to staying ahead of the game and producing exceptional wines. Chr. Hansen, a renowned leader in the industry, has revolutionized the winemaking process with their non-Saccharomyces yeast strains. These strains offer winemakers a powerful tool to enhance fermentation, optimize flavor profiles, and craft wines that stand out in today's competitive market. Unleashing the Potential of Non-Saccharomyces Yeast: Traditionally, Saccharomyces cerevisiae has been the go-to yeast for alcoholic fermentation in winemaking. However, Chr. Hansen recognized the untapped potential of non-Saccharomyces yeasts and embarked on a groundbreaking journey over a decade ago. Through rigorous research and selection programs, they have developed a comprehensive range of non-Saccharomyces yeast strains, offering winemakers a new frontier of possibilities. Flavor Complexity and Aromatic Expression: One of the standout advantages of Chr. Hansen's non-Saccharomyc
