It's part of a long-term, well-thought-out, and well-funded campaign against consuming alcohol - any amount of alcohol. January 1, 2024, is not only bringing in a whole new year but also new minimum wages! New increased minimum wage requirements will take effect on January 1, 2024, for the state of California, as well as multiple California cities and counties. The increased wages apply only to hours worked on or after January 1, 2024.
