Tannins are a group of phenolic compounds found naturally in the skin, seeds and stems of grapes used in wine, as well as in the barrels where wine is aged. Traditional methods of tannin determination require the preparation of specific reagent solutions and are demanding in time and preparation. The Tannins kit is based on the methylcellulose precipitable method (MCP), improving its usability and stability. The MCP technique captures both tannin types and pigment-bound forms, giving a clearer picture of a wine’s structure and future evolution. Our analyzers use UV-Vis spectrophotometry, which measures light absorption at specific wavelengths associated with tannins. This provides an objective, accurate and reproducible measurement of tannin content, allowing the winemaker to control its extraction during maceration, its evolution during aging and its influence on the stability and final quality of the wine. Are you curious to learn more about measuring tannins? Pleas

They're not wearing capes. They're wearing vests and carrying iPads and managing wine clubs and running tasting rooms and trying to figure out why last month's numbers don't match. They're superheroes all the same. In the wine industry, when are data superpowers unlocked? Usually it starts with one moment. A report that used to take an hour and a half is just there. A heat map that used to be built manually in Excel now takes two clicks. A segment gets run, an email goes out, and the winery sells more wine. It happens every day. Not once a quarter when the board report is due. Every day. That's what a superhero looks like. It’s not about being a “tech person.” It's about being willing to look at what your data is actually telling you — about your customers, your club, your tasting room, your next email. We're going to be putting the spotlight on the superheroes themselves at two upcoming events. If you're curious about what your data could actually be doing for you, these are worth you

In the film Field of Dreams, a quiet voice whispers a simple promise: “If you build it, he will come.” The idea was never really about baseball. It was about creating something meaningful and trusting that the right people would be drawn to it. The wine industry is standing at a similar crossroads. For decades, wineries have operated on a simple assumption: make great wine, tell a compelling story, and consumers will come. Craft the product. Earn the accolades. Build the brand. But the next generation of wine consumers is telling us something different. Gen Z, now entering legal drinking age and shaping the future of hospitality, is not primarily seeking bottles to collect or scores to chase. Many say they are looking for something more fundamental: connection, community, and places where they can gather with friends away from the constant pull of the digital world. In other words, they are looking for a third space. For winery owners, executives, and Direct-to-Consumer lea

The tasting room used to be the heart of the winery business model. Walk-ins became club members. Club members became brand ambassadors. Revenue flowed predictably, and the formula worked. That’s changing. Visitation to wine regions is softening and tasting room traffic that wineries once counted on is declining. The cohort that’s most noticeably absent? Millennials and Gen Z, the consumers who should be building the next generation of wine loyalty. For many wineries, the drop-off has been gradual enough to rationalize. Blame the economy. Blame changing drinking habits. Blame competition from craft beer and cocktails. But the reality is harder to swallow: younger consumers aren’t avoiding wine country because they don’t like wine. They’re avoiding it because the traditional tasting room experience no longer competes with how they want to spend their time and money. And if wineries don’t adapt, they risk becoming relics of an industry that waited to

Online gifting is one of the fastest-growing ecommerce categories, and wine is right at the top. The truth is, the brands winning in this space aren't just riding the trend. They're building dedicated gifting infrastructure to squeeze every last drop from tis big opportunity. Wineries and beverage brands that invest in purpose-built gifting tools like Zest typically see significant gift sale growth in their very first holiday season. Explore how Winesecrets' selective dealcoholization process delivers premium No/Lo wines without compromising what makes them wine: Selective membrane separation — Our Reverse Osmosis process extracts only water, alcohol, and acetic acid. Color, tannin, body, and structure stay behind the membrane, untouched. Complete aromatic protection — Delicate volatile compounds are physically retained by the membrane throughout the entire process. There is no need to "capture" or "add back" aromatics since they're never lost in the first place. No heat contact with your wine — Only the water-ethanol permeate fraction is distilled. Your wine is maintained at cellar temperature from start to finish. Minimal volume loss — With an average loss of just 1.25%, more of your wine comes back to bottle and sell. Trial to production scale — Start with a Test Track bench trial on as little as a 750ml sample to taste your wine at multiple ABV targets,
