Brought to you through a partnership with Petaluma Gap Winegrowers Alliance and Jackson Family Wines. Please join us for an informational workshop on BluVite! This session will be a brief overview of the BluVite project at Bloomfield Vineyard (Jackson Family Wines). During this presentation, Scott Welch, Vineyard Manager for Jackson Family Wines Petaluma Gap AVA, will talk about the background of the trial vineyard location and discuss the reasons why he chose to trial the BluVite product at his managed properties. JT Jaeger, Sustainable Viticulture Specialist at Enartis USA, will discuss the trial data and how a soil microbial application has shown to improve uniformity of canopy growth and, in turn, ripening kinetics. We investigate this using canopy evaluations and analysis of grape quality and yields. There will be a 15-minute Q&A session where the audience has the opportunity to ask both Scott and JT questions. Watch Enartis USA's JT Jaeger and the former President of the World Meteorological Organization, David Grimes, present "Managing Heatwaves: A Case Study in Climate Adaptation and Vineyard Resiliency" during the virtual Sustainable Ag Expo & International Sustainable Winegrowing Summit.
Jaeger and Grimes will present a case study that explores heat stress and how a soil microbial application (BluVite by BluAgri) has shown to improve vine resilience through heat events, in addition to how this case study fits into the greater concept of climate adaptation.
Presented by The Vineyard Team and happening now through December 4, the Sustainable Ag Expo will feature the latest viticulture research and technology from the world's top experts to help you be competitive in the ever changing business landscape. This year's virtual format gives you access to a greater diversity of topics and speakers.
