Mitroff Consulting & Associates has been retained to conduct a search for the Vice President, Strategic Procurement for Saxco International. Saxco International, LLC is the pre-eminent bottle, package, and value-added distribution supplier to the wine, beer, liquor and food industry in the United States and Canada.  Their offices, distribution centers and custom packaging centers are strategically located throughout North America.  They provide the broadest product choice, enabling customers to optimize their business performance.  Saxco has the infrastructure and capability to meet their customer’s needs, build their brands and drive their results.  With optimum choices, they reduce complexity and costs by delivering innovative, quick, accurate, cost effective solutions that enhance their customer’s brands and contribute to their success. This is an outstanding opportunity to have a direct hand in managing the day-to-day procurement operations and overall strategy for this exceptional company.   

Here is a brief version of what we are seeking:

• fifteen plus years of proven successful experience in global procurement, with three plus years as a Vice President level or above
• specific experience identifying and developing suppliers and manufacturing in China
• current and/or previous experience working with major domestic and global glass manufactures
• disciplined negotiator in complex negotiations; able to balance cost, quality and speed considerations
• understand basic legal elements in contracts
• ability to function at a strategic level as well as a hand-on tactical contributor that is comfortable in the details
• possess progressive and demonstrated leadership abilities; able to rally an organization and create positive energy
• bottling and production knowledge
• self-starter

• demonstrated ability to be diplomatic, hold one’s position, and not deviate from goals
