G3 ENTERPRISES OBTAINS FOOD SAFETY CERTIFICATION FOR SCREW CAPS, CORKS, CAPSULES, POUR SPOUTS AND STOPPERS

New FSS22000 Standard for Closures Is Latest Achievement for Company

Anticipating a growing demand from its customers to provide food safety certification to meet the requirements of the Food Safety Modernization Act, G3 Enterprises Closure Division announced today that it has achieved Food Safety System Certification 22000 by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.

Since the passage of the Food Safety Modernization Act in 2011, considered the most sweeping reform of the country’s food safety laws, the food and beverage industries have begun requiring suppliers to provide food safety certification to ensure the safety of their products.  This has caused many suppliers to scramble in an effort to identify certification programs and begin the rigorous qualification process that G3 Enterprises has already completed.

“Given our high standards for quality, we sought to have our risk management and quality assurance techniques reviewed, monitored and certified so our customers know that we have effective food safety management systems in place and operating,” said Tom Cook, Chief Operating Officer of G3 Enterprises.  He added, “We’re committed to providing our customers with the highest quality beverage packaging products and services.”

G3 Enterprises' closure division is the most integrated provider of closure products in the wine and spirits industries providing caps, corks, capsules, stoppers, crowns, and bar tops. As an ISO 9001 and 14001 certified manufacturer, G3 invests in the latest equipment and technology to meet evolving customer needs. For 50 years, the company has provided quality products and solutions to beverage customers in the United States, Canada, and Mexico and throughout Europe.
