SRJC'S SHONE FARM WINERY PRODUCES PREMIUM RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY WINE

Santa Rosa Junior College Shone Farm Winery was founded in 2008 and operates under the auspices of the Shone Farm Foundation, an auxiliary organization of the college. Located in the Warren G. Dutton Jr. Agriculture Pavillion in the Russian River Valley, the winery utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and winemaking procedures to ensure the production of premium wines indicative of the Russian River Valley appellation. The majority of the wines being produced are from estate grown grapes of Shone Farm. The Shone Farm Winery is committed to quality, and all wines must pass a rigorous review by a professional testing panel before being released for sale.

The wines are made by professional winemakers, with students learning the art of winemaking from crush pad to bottling.

Shone Farm has 84 acres of grapes that are sold to several Sonoma County premium wineries. In addition to commercial use, the vineyard also provides a venue for instruction. Students in the Viticulture Program spend time in the vineyard involved in various tasks; monitoring for pests and diseases, performing canopy management assessments, making crop projections for each commercial block of grapes, and pruning selected blocks.

We invite you to try the wines of Shone Farm and experience what we achieve when students and professionals winemakers come together to handcraft wine.
Cheers!
