This fully-formulated propylene glycol replacement product is manufactured from a 100% renewable biobased stock source. This production method results in a significant reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and non-renewable energy consumption during the manufacturing process over conventionally made propylene glycol.  Recent studies have shown the savings during the manufactuing process to be 40% or more versus traditional oil-based proplyene glycol. This means less stress on pumps and transfer systems, which lower the amount of maintenance and repairs necessary, as well as lowering energy use during chilling.  These factors contributed to Bio-Cool Inhibited Propanediol earning the BioPreferred® designation from the USDA.Bio-Chill PDO is also compatible with existing PG filled systems as a ‘top-off’ product.
