Criveller Group is pleased to introduce a new type of D. E. filter with vertical elements (VE) that improves upon the advantages of D. E. filters.

Diatomaceous Earth (D. E.) filters are one of the least expensive types of filters to run. These long-lasting, low-maintenance filters are capable of filtering large volumes in a relatively short time.

Vertical Elements D. E. Filters have several advantages:

• Since D. E. cake can be BUILT on both sides of the screens, VE filters are smaller and more maneuverable
• VE filters are less expensive
• Washing vertical elements is easier than horizontal elements

Discharging a D. E. Filter is a relatively simple process because the exhausted cake is detached from the screens through vibration and can be recovered easily through the large opening at the bottom of the unit.

The new VE D. E. is available in sizes from 7.5 – 30 m² with several options including a scavenger filter, double inlet/outlet manifold, and a sparkling wine (high pressure) version.
