Westec Tank & Equipment has developed a super lightweight pumpover based on a small-disk design used in Australia. Best for smaller lot wines in tanks 5,000 gallons or less, the new lightweight pumpover device brings up juice from the bottom and spreads it over the top to add oxygen and give the juice another flavor pass through the cap. Using a pumpover device, winemakers can aerate the juice while keeping it in contact with the skins for additional extraction. Our new, lightweight pumpover device can help control the heat in the tank throughout the wine fermentation process.
