Mitroff Consulting & Associates, a retained executive search firm, is conducting a search for the Laboratory Supervisor/Tech on behalf of our Client, an upscale, boutique family owned winery  located in Sonoma County. They produce some of the world’s most superb wines. They have consistently received outstanding ratings from Robert Parker, Jr., the Wine Spectator, and Tanzer Publications. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly acclaimed winery and join forces with an extraordinary group of winery professionals. 

 

Here is a brief version of what we are looking for:

 

Ø  A professional with laboratory supervisor experience of at least three years in the wine or food industry, or research lab in a college or commercial setting

Ø  Outstanding laboratory management experience at a mid-size winery; cellar experience in a boutique winery will be an added plus

Ø  Solid skills performing laboratory analyses as well as possessing the understanding and ability to develop new laboratory procedures

Ø  Solid diagnostic and analytical skills for procedure trouble shooting and development of laboratory procedures

Ø  Proven track record of lab analysis including, but not limited to Brix, pH, TA, VA (VA still), Enzymatic on Spectrophotometer (VA, G+F, MAL, NOPA), Ammonia, Alcohol, and Turbidity

Ø  Skilled in microscopy of lots (when deemed necessary from analysis), vineyard sampling, sample preparation of grapes, juice and wine

Ø  Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, able to multitask with ease and possess strong organizational skills

Ø  A passion for the wine industry and appreciation of fine wines

Ø  An energetic and enthusiastic professional who is passionate about her/his work

Ø  Detail oriented and accurate

Ø  Value ethics, integrity and superior work environment on par with compensation

Ø  Able to lift and carry a case of wine
